@1.1 - Dude, I love my blu-ray discs but it doesn't compare to the jump from VHS to DVD. When DVD arrived we got the ability to jump to any point in the movie instantly without fast forward or rewind, perfect still images, not to mention VHS magnetic tapes could get damaged very easily and decay quickly with use/time.
But blu-ray is indeed the shiz. There's just no going back after watching a blu-ray movie. Everything else looks horrible.
This further proves my theory that Uncharted 2 is an Xbox fanboy's worst nightmare. Not even "teh salez" argument holds up.
@ 1.2 - That's exactly what I did. My PS3 died on me 2 weeks ago, so yesterday I went out and bought the 250gb Uncharted 2 bundle. The clerk was surprised at how quickly the things were selling (game and bundle were released yesterday in my country). Not sure what I'm going to do with two PS3 consoles when Sony returns my old 60gb, but Uncharted ...
I bought one of these not 3 hours ago. Totally worth it!
You are clearly a person of great intelligence and wit. Your level of insight on the issue at hand is awe inspiring, matched only by your sharp professionalism and total absence of bias. You dear sir, are clearly the type of person that should possess his own gaming website.

The words "sell" and "out" come to mind.
That remark is indeed funny, but Microsoft can and has done much better. "We have the best games and all the franchises." Remember that one?
But Ken Kutaragi totally deserves the #1 spot. The guy was completely in love with himself by the time the PS3 was released.
Don't get too carried away. Edge is probably still trying to figure out how to spin things in order to give the game a low score.
@ lowcarb
You cannot make the assumption that all games would look better on the 360. That is simply not correct. The issue with multiplatform games is that the code must run on very different architectures. Compromises need to be made, and those tend to be worse on the more complex architecture. However, with exclusives no such compromises exist. Exclusives are free to use one system's full potential, which is why some people argue that only exclusive games should be compared. ...
@ soul troll
Really? Uncharted 2 would look better on the 360? Or are you talking about a superior PC graphics card?
Because in 4 years time no other developer out there has been able to produce visuals that could rival Uncharted's on the 360. Are you trying to tell us that Uncharted looks so awesome just because Naughty Dog has some mad programming skills that other developers can't even dream off and that it has nothing to do with the PS3's powerful hardware? I...
Those are not wise words. You're just begging for someone to reply "so does your mum".
Is it "Sony is doomed" season again?
EDIT - This is ridiculous. No one is being forced to upgrade to the PSPgo. People with a UMD collection most probably already own a regular PSP (why would they have UMDs and no PSP?) and support will be the same for both versions of the system. This is a non-issue.
The difference is not as big as some fanboys would like (and claim) it to be, but the 360 version does look better and runs more smoothly. It's still the same experience on both systems though, even if it is disappointing to witness such a poor port job at this day and age.
I just don't think the game is good enough to have a flamewar over it.
The first PS3 models had more features than the current ones and they retailed for $599, not $700.
You fail. Practice your trolling and try again.
Oh come on! I only have a PS3, but I don't have any problems admitting the 360 is a good system. It's relatively cheap and it has a ton of good games. It's just the failure rate, the online fees and Microsoft's arrogance that stop it from being better. At current price points, I always recommend the PS3 over the 360, but you can't go wrong if you buy either one.
Besides, this entire article is idiotic. The only person qualified to say if your money was well spent is you.
...I stopped listening to reviewers when they told me Enter the Matrix was a good game, but I was suspicious of them even before that. I don't know why you guys still trust them.
Think about it! We've seen it all this gen, from wildly fluctuating standards to reviewers getting fired for giving the "wrong score" to a game. Don't let other people tell you what to play.
Uncharted 2 is this awesome:
I only played Assassin's Creed on the PC, so I don't really know how well the game worked on the PS3. But I do know for a fact that Prince of Persia runs very smoothly and is almost undistinguishable between PS3 and 360. Clearly the team made a lot of progress with their game engine. There's no doubt that AC2 will be very impressive from the technical perspective on all platforms. Now if only they manage to improve on the game itself.

You and me both, my fri...
Damn! You beat me to it... I was about to make the same comment about NG2 and NGS2.
Fanboy vision is really something isn't it?
I couldn't agree more. This games feels like a DMC clone that replaces all the style with a massive serving of T&A. If I wanted gratuitous exploitation of the female anatomy, I'd buy Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Heck, I just might do that. Or I'll just wait for GoW3 and play Uncharted 2 and MW2 in the meantime. Bayonetta just feels extremely cheap and lame.
Seems like any idiot with an internet conection can be a reviewer these days.
